Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) secured their first win of the new season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Strasbourg in round ten of the French top flight on Sunday.

The match, which was played at Parc des Princes, saw PSG dominate possession and create numerous chances, but it wasn't until the second half that they finally broke through.

With just under half an hour to go, PSG took the lead when Mbappe curled home a superb free-kick from the edge of the box. The goal was Mbappe's third of the campaign, and he continued his impressive form as PSG went into halftime with a slender one-goal advantage.

Strasbourg came out strong after the break and created several chances of their own, but PSG were able to hold firm and keep their lead intact. Mbappe then added another goal late on, this time scoring from close range following good work from Neymar.

The result sees PSG move up to fifth place in the table, two points behind leaders Nice, who also won their game on Sunday. Strasbourg remain bottom of the standings with just one point from four games.

Mbappe's hat-trick is a fantastic return for the France international, who has been a standout performer so far this season. He has already scored six goals in eight league appearances, including five in his last three matches.

Overall, PSG's performance against Strasbourg was a solid one, and they will be looking to continue their winning ways next weekend when they face Monaco. With Mbappe continuing to impress, there's no doubt that PSG will be challenging for the title this season.
